What is EPOS?
In a nutshell, EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) is a computerised solution to retail management. An EPOS system will automatically update your stock levels for you after a transaction has been completed, keeping your stock file up to date. Other modules will help with the smooth functioning of your business too – from Purchase Orders to Bar Code Labelling and Supplier Management. I already have a cash register - why should I change to EPOS?
A cash register will allow you to process the sales and does essential cash management print outs such as X and Z Reads, but it won’t give you the integrated business management that will enhance your business processes.
EPOS is suitable for any wholesale or commercial retail business – if you sell something and need to keep track of your stock then EPOS is for you.

I'm not very IT literate - will that be a problem?
Not everyone in the world is a computer genius, but with a G7 EPOS system, that’s not a problem at all. EPOS is designed to make your life easier and people with little or no EPOS experience find the system easy to use.

Won't the technology be outdated in a few years?
G7 has it’s own in-house development team to ensure that all of the software associated with the G7 EPOS system stays up to date and compatible with other widely-used computer programmes.
The hardware that we recommend is also designed to last, with our maintenance service intending to prevent hardware failure.

I already have some hardware - will I need to replace it?
You may already have a Back Office PC or other equipment that you want to incorporate into your new EPOS system. As long as it is compatible with our software then we will make the most of the equipment you already have.
G7 provide every piece of hardware and software that you will need to run the G7 EPOS System. As everything is available through us, our engineers can also take on the maintenance of your equipment, subject to a Hardware Preventative Maintenance contract. The support package includes all the latest updates to our Back Office software.

Who is there to help me?
All G7 customers are trained how to use the system prior to going live by our Training Team. They have years of experience in training people in a non-technical way, so you don’t have to worry about keeping up!
After you’ve started using the system, our Implementations Team will continue to support you and contact you on a regular basis until you are happy with running the system.
Our highly knowledgeable G7 Customer Service Team is available over the phone seven days a week to deal with any questions you may have. They are able to access your system via the internet, so calls can be solved with the minimum of fuss. All of these calls are logged on the G7 Central Database and posted to the website, so you can keep track of any calls you’ve made to see their progress.
